Last night’s Meet the Candidates event was a strong reflection of community engagement and civic participation here in Park Hills and Leadington. We were proud to bring together candidates, community members, and local leaders for an evening focused on information, transparency, and meaningful dialogue ahead of the upcoming election.
The evening began with City Council candidates sharing their perspectives, followed by an informative presentation on Proposition U. We were honored to hear remarks from Mayor Stacey Easter, along with Brenda Jordan, who also shared the Chamber’s official endorsement of Prop U.
School Board candidates then took the stage to introduce themselves and answer questions, followed by a presentation regarding the upcoming school bond issue, Prop REBELS.
We extend our sincere thanks to Central R-3 School District for hosting and to Dr. Joe Gilgour of Mineral Area College for their partnership in organizing this event alongside the Chamber. Your support helped make this evening both successful and impactful.
Most importantly, thank you to all of the candidates who participated and to the community members who attended, asked questions, and took the time to stay informed. Events like these are essential in fostering a connected, informed, and engaged community.
