Thank You to Ameren Missouri for Hosting Our September Investor Meeting!
The Park Hills – Leadington Chamber of Commerce extends sincere thanks to Ameren Missouri for hosting this month’s Investor Meeting at the newly opened St. Francois Operating Center in Park Hills. We appreciated the strong turnout, the warm hospitality, and an informative tour of the state-of-the-art facility. A special thank you to The Lunch Lady Food Truck and our valued board member, Glenda Straughn, for providing a terrific lunch for attendees!
With quick access to Highway 67, the new operating center replaces Ameren’s previous Park Hills service building, which had been in use for more than 60 years. The site consolidates local teams under one roof to streamline operations and improve response during storms and outages.
Ameren reports that the center supports faster restoration times and greater grid reliability for customers across St. Francois County and throughout Missouri. In addition to expanded outdoor storage for essential equipment, the facility includes a larger space for transmission materials that will support work across the state. As part of Ameren’s Smart Energy Plan, these investments are designed to reduce outages and enable quicker recovery when they occur.
The City of Park Hills has noted the facility’s approximately 57,000-square-foot footprint and its capacity to house up to 70 employees, helping Ameren stage resources locally and respond even more efficiently to regional needs. Today, the new center also serves as a modern hub for tours, training, and collaboration with community partners.
We’re grateful to Ameren Missouri for their continued investment in Park Hills and for welcoming our investors to experience the new operating center firsthand!
