On Saturday, November 1st, 2025, the Park Hills–Leadington Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted the 4th Annual Donnelly-LaMear Poker Run, marking the first year the Chamber has organized the event independently. Participants gathered at the scenic Donnelly‑LaMear Trailhead to embark on an exhilarating route visiting five local stops, enjoying camaraderie, community spirit and friendly competition.
Registration opened at 10:00 a.m., with each “hand” costing $30. The first 50 hands registered received a complimentary event hoodie, and cash prizes were awarded for both the best poker hand and the worst poker hand, adding fun and suspense to the day’s ride.
Card-stop locations this year included some of the Park Hills - Leadington Chamber of Commerce's valued investors:
-
Leadbelt Powersports
-
Fyre Lake Winery & Events Center
-
Hub’s Pub & Grill
-
Four Towns Brewing Company
-
General Custard’s Sips N’ Sweets
As our Chamber team took the lead in planning and executing this event, we were thrilled by the turnout, the community’s enthusiasm and the spirit shown by all those involved. “This year’s Poker Run gave riders a memorable way to explore our region, support local businesses and enjoy the outdoors together,” said Executive Director Tamara Coleman.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, volunteers and spectators whose energy and presence made the day such a success. We also gratefully recognize the contributions of our event sponsors, whose support was instrumental in bringing this event to life:
Leadbelt Powersports, Pettus Automotive, First State Community Bank, Belgrade State Bank, K Buckley Towing & Recovery, Leadbelt Properties, Kevin Ball Auto Body, Lost Creek Properties, and JK Trucking.
One of the distinguishing features of this year’s Poker Run was the scenic route and connection to the Donnelly-LaMear Trailhead and the broader region leading into St. Joe State Park, a reminder of our community’s unique outdoor assets and the opportunities for tourism, recreation and local business activation.
Looking ahead, the Chamber is already exploring enhancements for next year’s Poker Run, and encourages businesses and community members to stay engaged, participate as card-stop hosts or sponsors, and mark their calendars for what promises to be an even more robust edition in 2026.
