The Park Hills–Leadington Chamber of Commerce is encouraging residents, businesses, and community groups to support Chamber Investor Southeast Missouri Family Violence Council by donating everyday essentials from the organization’s current needs list.

Southeast Missouri Family Violence Council is a nonprofit organization providing free services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children. Through shelter, advocacy, support services, prevention education, and community education, the organization helps survivors regain control of their lives and work toward a future free from abuse. Outreach services are also available for individuals who need assistance but do not need shelter.

The organization is currently requesting the following donations:

• Household items: 13- and 33-gallon trash bags, laundry pods, toilet paper, and paper towels.
• Personal care items: Shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, razors, and hair care products.
• Baby items: Diapers in sizes 4, 5, and 6, and baby wipes.
• Medical items: Adult and children’s pain reliever medicine.
• Food items: Perishable and nonperishable foods.
• Bedding items: Twin-size sheets and blankets.

These everyday supplies help meet practical needs while supporting the comfort and dignity of individuals and families receiving services.

The Chamber encourages businesses, civic organizations, churches, and individuals to consider collecting items together or adding a few requested supplies to their next shopping trip.

To coordinate a donation, confirm item requirements, or arrange delivery, contact Southeast Missouri Family Violence Council at 573-358-3913. Business office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. More information about the organization is available at semofvc.org.
