The United Way of St. Francois County is seeking an exceptional Executive Director to lead our mission of improving lives in the community. If you’re a dynamic leader with a passion for community service and a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising and management, we want to hear from you!

Reports To: Board of Directors

Location: St. Francois County, Missouri

Position Type: Part-Time

Pay: $1,500 per month, plus incentives based on achievement of fundraising goals

Summary: The Executive Director is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial management of The United Way of St. Francois County. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for community service, strong organizational skills, and a proven track record in nonprofit management.
They lead the organization by:

  • Supporting the Board of Directors in achieving the organization’s mission
  • Leading all fundraising campaigns and programs
  • Leading marketing and brand messaging efforts
  • Working with community partner agencies
  • Shepherding annual grant application process and distribution of awards

Critical Experience and Qualifications
  • Passion for the mission of The United Way of St. Francois County and a commitment to improving the lives of those we serve.
  • Experience with soliciting donations, fundraising and/or outbound sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to engage and influence a diverse group of stakeholders, individuals, and organizations. Must demonstrate comfort in socializing professionally in both intimate settings and at larger social events.
  • Attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
  • Experience with coordinating special event logistics.
  • Proficiency in website management and social media platforms.
