Community Support Specialist

Full-Time | Day Shift with Occasional Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays
Pay Range: $18.00 to $27.35 per hour

Friends in Action Clubhouse is seeking a Community Support Specialist to join its mission-driven team in Farmington. Friends in Action is a welcoming community center that offers adults living with serious mental illness hope, purpose, and opportunities to reach their full potential through the internationally recognized Clubhouse Model of Psychiatric Rehabilitation.

This role works side by side with Clubhouse members, supporting daily operations, meaningful work activities, and community engagement in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside members to organize and complete daily Clubhouse unit activities
• Encourage participation in psychosocial rehabilitation through meaningful and engaging work
• Support Evening, Weekend, and Holiday programming, including community outings and events
• Participate in fundraising efforts and community outreach
• Provide member outreach, crisis intervention as needed, and support community integration
• Complete documentation, orientations, and progress notes in accordance with BJC Behavioral Health standards
• Assist with marketing, advocacy, employment partnerships, and community relationships
• Support Transitional Employment placements and Clubhouse training initiatives

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field preferred
• Self-starter with strong leadership and group facilitation skills
• Ability to multitask, motivate, and guide individuals through hands-on activities
• Computer skills preferred, including Excel and Publisher
• Class E Driver’s License required
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening

• Flexible day shift
• At least one evening shift per month
• One weekend day approximately every four months
• Two of six major holidays
