Location: Park Hills - Leadington Chamber of Commerce, Park Hills, MO
Pay: $18–$20 per hour (1099 Contractor)
Hours: 10 hours per week, flexible scheduling (some evenings/weekends required)
Are you organized, creative, and eager to support local businesses? The Park Hills - Leadington Chamber of Commerce is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant to help keep our operations running smoothly and our members engaged with the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support: assemble recruitment packets, manage membership databases, update member profiles, process invoices, and handle general clerical duties.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Space for document creation, data management, and special projects.
- Design and publish news releases, calendar events, and special offers.
- Recruit new members, promote chamber events, and sell digital ads for our publications and online platforms.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and communication—both written and verbal—to members, visitors, and the community.
- Assist with event preparation and execution, occasionally outside normal office hours.
- Create, schedule, and manage content for our social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), including graphics, posts, and community engagement.
- Monitor social media trends and analyze performance metrics to optimize outreach.
- Utilize ChatGPT or similar AI tools for content creation, brainstorming, and improving communication efficiency.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Space.
- Experience with publication design and social media management, including content creation and scheduling.
- Knowledge of ChatGPT or similar AI tools for content and communications.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and resourceful.
- Ability to work independently and anticipate needs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required.
A background check will be required for this position. All offers are contingent upon the successful completion of this screening, in accordance with applicable laws and with your written consent.
Additional Details:
- Provide your own laptop, or lease one from the Chamber (terms available upon request).
- Workspace available for lease at the Chamber office for just $1/year.
- Initial 90-day performance review; annual review and contract renewal possible.
- This is a 1099 contractor position—responsible for your own taxes, with no employee benefits.
