Workshop: Steps to Obtain Financing for Your Small Business
Do you want to meet with a banker to discuss getting a bank loan or line of credit for your small business but are uncertain what all it takes to be successful? What documents do they need and what does the bank really want to see? What exactly does the SBA offer in the way of loan guarantees? How and when does the SBA get involved? What loan programs are available and how do they work?
Attend this workshop and learn answers to these questions and much more. Our speakers have in depth knowledge of the banking industry and the SBA loan process. They will provide the information you need to guide you through the loan process.
Speakers:Bob Helfrich, Former Banker and Bank Consultant
Bob retired as a bank market research consultant for US banks and credit unions focusing on issues unique to client institutions regarding strategic growth, business development, product delivery, branch placement and demographics, market economics and consumer behavioral patterns. As a banker, Bob specialized in all aspects of small business lending as a branch manager, credit administrator and lead lender, portfolio reengineering and turnaround, asset-based credit program manager, and subject matter expert on loan documentation, underwriting, operations and collections. Bob has an MBA in Economics from St. Louis University, a BA in Economics from Benedictine College and a Diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconson, Madison. Bob is also a SCORE certified mentor and he manages the Justine Petersen SCORE office.
Steve Grelle, Assistant Vice President Business Finance, St. Louis Economic Development Partnership
Steve has 11 years of banking experience prior to joining the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership in his current role for the past five years helping regional small business owners utilize available local incentives and find the best financing available for their business. Steve has an MBA in Finance and Economics.
