Ribbon Cutting
Dear Chamber Members,
On behalf of Missouri State Parks, you are invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Galena Trail at St. Joe State Park on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023. The Ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Pim Day Use Area.
The public is invited to celebrate the opening of the Galena Trail. Representatives from the park will be present to provide information and answer questions.
St. Joe State Park boasts a variety of recreational activities from Off-Road Vehicle riding, equestrian trails, swimming, hiking, paved bicycling trails, radio-controlled flying field, camping, fishing, and boating. The addition of 7.8 miles of mountain biking trail adds even more opportunities for visitors to the park. In addition to recreational activities, the park hosts several mountain biking events throughout the year including the Miner Tough Races, Team Noah event, and NICA high school mountain biking competition. This trail will be a designated route for all of these events.
If you have questions, please contact Carrie Lykins, Superintendent, St. Joe State Park at 573-431-1069.
