MAC's Fall Choral Concert Set for October 6
Mineral Area College's Music Department will present its Fall Choral Concert at 7:30 p.m.on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at First Baptist Church in Farmington.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Harry Cecil, the director of choirs at MAC, said the Fall Choral Concert will be particularly interesting as it features Farmington High School’s choir as special guests.
"It’s going to be an exciting night of collaboration," Cecil said. "Kevin Nicoletti and the Farmington High School Choral Program are exemplary. It’s a great honor to have them join our concert."
The theme for this fall’s concert is "Songs in a Strange Land." Cecil said the MAC choral program will present song celebrations in various languages and styles. It will also cover two wonderfully different versions of the folk song, "How Can I Keep from Singing?" In addition to the Farmington choir, the Chamber Singers and MAC Singers will be featured at this mid-semester performance.
