Please join us for the April Investor Meeting on Tuesday, April 15 at, 12:00 p.m. at Charboneau's A & C Restaurant in Park Hills.
Nearly 6 million Missourians are impacted in some manner by investments and retirement savings. Through outreach and presentations across the state, the Investor Protection Division of Secretary of State Jason Kander's Office seeks to inform Missourians of current threats to investors, the steps our office takes to combat fraud and the resources available to protect citizens from investment scams.
The Investor Protection Division works in partnership with organizations, professional groups, local officials, other state agencies, and the resources within Secretary of State Kander's office to promote the measures we are taking to protect investors, prosecute scam artists and prevent investment fraud. Safeguarding Missourians and their investments is of utmost importance to Secretary Kander, with a specific importance placed on protecting the investments of seniors. The Investor Education Unit, under the guise of the Securities Division, works to dedicate the resources necessary to inform all Missourians of our efforts to protect the financial well-being of our future.
In April, we will welcome Garrett Webb, Director of Investor Education of the Office of Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander. Mr. Webb will be informing us of the best practices for avoiding investment fraud and protecting yourself from becoming a victim.
About our presenter: Garrett M. Webb is Director of Investor Education for Secretary of State Jason Kander. In this capacity, Webb oversees the Missouri Safe Savings Program and leads the education section of the Missouri Investor Protection Center, seeking to educate and inform Missourians of financial fraud and how to avoid becoming a victim.
