Coffee With A Doc - Memory Loss Associated With Aging

Parkland Health Center invites you to join us for Coffee with a Doc on Friday, April 18 from 9 to10 a.m. at Bauhaus Kaffee.  Dr. Rachel A. Dickerson of Medical Arts Clinic will be the featured speaker on the topic, “Memory Loss Associated with Aging.”  Parkland Health Center will pick up the tab for the coffee, and there will be plenty of time for Dr. Dickerson to answer questions. 

We can probably all relate to the experience of walking into a room and then wondering why we were going there.  Most of us have misplaced an item we use all the time, like our keys or our glasses.  How much forgetfulness is normal?  When should we become concerned that our loss of memory is a symptom of something bigger?  Dr. Dickerson will talk about all of these things and more, as we discuss memory loss associated with aging. 

Dr. Dickerson specializes in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and she takes care of patients of all ages.  She is a member of the medical staff at Parkland Health Center and Medical Arts Clinic.  Dr. Dickerson received her MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch, and completed her residency at University Hospital and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.  Dr. Dickerson is originally from Jefferson County.
