Seminar: "Evaluating Your Business Idea"
On Nov. 13, from 5-8 p.m., University of Missouri Extension Small Business Technology & Development Center, in partnership with Mineral Area College in Park Hills, will offer a seminar for potential business owners.
If you are thinking about starting a small business or have an idea in mind but aren’t sure how to develop it, this course is for you. The course will focus on evaluating your business idea and the key steps and resources involved. Small and medium-size businesses play a key role in the U.S. economy by creating jobs, providing vital services, filling niche markets, bringing innovation and competition. These entrepreneurs start, build and grow businesses that strengthen local economies, provide opportunities and generate economic growth.
Pablo Arroyo, business development specialist with the SBTDC, said this course is vital to anyone who’s considering opening a business of any kind.
“At the SBTDC, we can take you from concept to start up, from growth to renewal,” he said. “There’s a wide range of resources available in all areas of business development. Get off to a great start by learning the critical steps involved in evaluating your business idea and establishing a small business in Missouri.”
