It is estimated that up to 75,000 Americans will die from substance misuse and suicide because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Drug and alcohol abuse has increased significantly since the pandemic, intensifying an already serious problem facing our nation and our employers. The opioid epidemic, increasing positive drug test rates and the legalization of marijuana as medicine has been magnified by COVID-19.
The Missouri Chamber of Commerce is hosting this very important webinar. As a member of the Park Hills - Leadington Chamber of Commerce, you are invited to attend at a discounted rate! To register, visit https://mochamber.com/drug-free-workplace-chambers-only/ now!
Never before have employers been forced to deal with the magnitude of issues impacting their ability to operate drug-free – the opioid epidemic, increasing positive drug test rates, and the legalization of marijuana as medicine. Identifying what needs to be done can be difficult, and making sure your policy and program is current can be equally challenging, particularly concerning workforce readiness and operational issues. Businesses need to be informed on these issues to make wise decisions that impact their drug-free workplace programs and bottom lines.
At this session, Working Partners® will explore these new trends and best practices to help assess your current drug-free workplace program and identify areas for potential improvement. This program has been pre-approved 3 PDC credits. This program is pending approval for Missouri CLE credits.
