Farmington, MO – Parkland Health Center, part of BJC HealthCare, is excited to announce the grand opening of its newly expanded Women’s Imaging Center with a joint ribbon-cutting ceremony in collaboration with the Park Hills – Leadington, Farmington, Desloge, and Bonne Terre Chambers of Commerce.
The celebration will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Parkland Health Center, located at 1101 W. Liberty Street. The event will feature remarks from hospital leaders, followed by the official ribbon-cutting and tours of the new imaging center.
This milestone marks the completion of a $2.3 million expansion project launched in 2024, nearly doubling the hospital’s breast health service capacity. The Parkland Health Center Foundation supported this enhancement through a $200,000 donation for imaging equipment and patient support, made possible by the generous contributions of our community. The upgraded Women’s Imaging Center now features:
- A mammography 3Dimension unit with stereotactic breast biopsy capability
- A second mammogram unit for expanded appointment availability
- Advanced OB ultrasound technology
- Enhanced bone density scanning services
