No Drinking & Driving
Operating an ATV or vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited in Missouri. DWIs carry serious penalties including fines, license loss, and possible jail time.

ATV Use on Public Roads
ATVs are generally allowed only on lettered highways, NOT numbered highways, except under limited exceptions (e.g., agricultural use, permitted access). When allowed, operators must:

Hold a valid driver’s license
Use proper safety equipment (lights, brakes, etc.)
Obey traffic laws and speed limits

Helmets & Passengers

Helmets are required for anyone under 18
Passengers only if the ATV is designed for more than one rider

About the Donnelly-LaMear Trailhead:

Whether you're into hiking, biking, walking, or hitting the trails with your ATV/ORV/UTV, the Donnelly-LaMear Trailhead is the place to start! The trailhead is open Thursday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and if you're all about those outdoor adventures, the trails are yours to explore all week long during regular state park hours.
