University of Missouri Extension's Walk with Ease Program Kicks Off May 17
Registered participants will walk three times per week for six weeks at their own pace in Desloge City Park. This free program runs from May 17 through June 25. Walks are scheduled from 9 am to 10 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Besides learning how to safely and comfortably make physical activity part of their everyday lives, participants create a doable, personal walking plan. Additionally, individuals with arthritis may benefit from a reduction in pain and discomfort. Overall health should improve.
This program is a collaborative effort between the University of Missouri Extension, the City of Desloge, the Arthritis Foundation, and the Missouri Regional Arthritis Centers.
To join this free, 6-week program, individuals must register by Friday, May 7, by calling (573) 883-3548.
