MU Extension to Provide Zoom Child Care Provider Training for Clock Hours

Are you a child care provider who needs professional development clock hours?  University of Missouri Extension Human Development & Family Science Field Specialists is offering statewide virtual child care provider trainings via Zoom in September and October. Training subjects will vary from staff retention, grief in the early childhood setting, art appreciation, taking care of yourself, and much more.  Each class will provide two clock hours of training.  Below is the list of upcoming classes:

  • Staff Retention through Organizational Climate
  • Action Speak Louder Than Words! Role Modeling for Healthy Kids
  • Positive Discipline-Getting to Yes
  • Grief in the Early Childhood Setting
  • Making the ABCs and the 123s More Active
  • Taking Care of You
  • Art Appreciation 101 for Young Children
  • Sleep and Health
The trainings will be Tuesdays from 1 pm- 3 pm and repeated on Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  Classes will begin the first week of September.  Each program provides two clock hours of training.  For training details and registration information visit and click on the “Online” tab, or contact your local MU Extension Office.
