Are you looking to take the next step in your IT career? The Doe Run Company is seeking a Field Support Specialist to provide implementation and testing of workstation builds, designs, and standards.  The Specialist also provides oral, written, and onsite support to end-users; implementation of user-related moves/adds/changes, and other system administration related to end-users. This position is located in Viburnum, MO near the beautiful Mark Twain National Forest.

  • Troubleshoot and repair desktop hardware and software, smartphones, thin clients, and provide incident resolution documentation to end-users and peers.    
  • Configure and deploy desktop, laptop, and printers.
  • Document work within tracking systems following ITIL incident, problem, change, and configuration management procedures.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices including switches, routers, wireless access points, analog telephone systems, IP telephone systems, and software systems including wireless controllers, Cisco call manager, network monitoring tools, and server systems.    
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education & Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in end-user support in a corporate/manufacturing environment.
  • Associate’s Degree in Information Systems/Networking/Computer Science or 2 years of experience in lieu of education.
  • A+ Hardware/Software certification preferred.
  • ITIL Foundations certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Advanced computer skills -Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), and Microsoft Windows 10.
  • Detailed knowledge of computer hardware and systems.
  • Documentation of technical processes and creation of user-friendly instructions.
  • Troubleshooting, incident, and problem resolution experience regarding workstations, applications, and local area network hardware.
  • Knowledge of application setup on workstations.
  • Must be willing to work 4 days in Viburnum trend.
  • Willing to be on-call up to two weeks per month.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Work is generally performed in a standard office setting, with frequent trips to operational sites (mines and offices) as required.
  • Rarely required to be clean-shaven and wear company provided PPE such as respirator, coveralls, gloves, hardhat, and boots for smelting environment.
  • Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, and to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movement.
  • Requires clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. May be required to lift up to 40 pounds.

Experience Required
