University of Missouri Extension will host two free virtual sessions of ?The Brain and the Disease of Addiction? on December 3 and December 10. Led by Community Health Specialist Emily Poncher, this 45-minute Zoom training covers how substances affect the brain, risk factors for addiction, and how recovery is possible. Open to the public at no cost with advance registration.

The Beginner MIG Welding Program, hosted by University of Missouri Extension, will be held December 9?10 from 6?8 p.m. at the Fredericktown Ag. Education Building. This hands-on course is designed for beginners and covers welding safety, equipment operation, shielding gases, and basic welding techniques. Participants will receive both classroom instruction and shop practice. Cost is $50. Registration is available online.
