Park Hills Summer Concert Series - June 7, 2013

The Park Hills Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce concert #1 of it's 6-concert series slated for 2013!

Sponsored by The Park Hills - Leadington Chamber of Commerce, the classic rock group "Medallion" will take the amphitheater stage in Columbia Park  7-9 p.m. on June 7. 

The local rock band has been playing classic hits since 1976.

Formed in Farmington, Missouri, Medallion has performed in front of thousands of fans, from Royal Stadium in Kansas City to the arenas of St. Louis.

The band has averaged 80 to 100 shows per year since they began performing on December 16, 1976.

Medallion has been the opening act for nationally-known groups like REO Speedwagon, Foghat, Head East, Rare Earth, Missouri, Mama's Pride, Starcastle, Michael Martin Murphy, B.J. Thomas, and The New Riders of the Purple Sage

Some of their influences include the Eagles, Journey, Kansas, Little River Band, Dan Fogelberg, Rush, Dream Theater, Kerry Livgren, and Yes.

The City of Park Hills would like to remind guests that all the concerts are FREE to the public.  Guests should bring a lawn chair, as no seating is available.  No alcohol is allowed at the concerts.   For more information, contact the Park Hills Parks & Recreation Department.
