DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to buy a house? Are you unsure of what you need in order to purchase a home? The Continuing Education Department of Mineral Area College is hosting a free\, Home Buying 101 course presented by First State Community Bank\, so you'll know if you're ready to begin the search for a new home. The course will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday\, March 19\, on the college's Park Hills campus.\n\n \n\nFirst State Community Bank will help you understand the home-buying process by covering topics such as debt to income\, credit scoring\, budgeting\, how to figure payments and how much of a payment you can afford\, as well as what to expect during the loan process. \n\n \n\nSarah Fisher\, with MAC's Continuing Education Department\, said the class is designed for people who are in various stages of homebuying. "Whether you're close to purchasing a home now or looking to build an understanding for future plans\, this course supplies the knowledge you'll need for a successful home purchase\," she said. \n\n \n\nParticipants must register for this free event by Monday\, March 16. Fisher added that the Continuing Education Department at MAC works hard to provide the local community with relevant and fun courses\, "so please let us know what you would like to see offered."
