SUMMARY:Virtual Training on The Brain & the Disease of Addiction
DESCRIPTION:The University of Missouri Extension will offer two upcoming virtual educational sessions titled "The Brain and the Disease of Addiction: Understanding How Substances Impact the Brain." These free\, introductory trainings will be facilitated by Emily Poncher\, Community Health Specialist   East Central.\n\nThese short\, 45-minute sessions are designed to fit easily into the workday and provide an accessible overview of how addiction affects the brain\, what risk factors increase vulnerability\, and how recovery is possible. The training also works to reduce stigma and replace it with understanding and hope for healing.
