Musicians from the St. Louis Symphony have a long tradition of promoting accessibility to music in the greater St. Louis area through free chamber concerts and events. The upcoming performance and masterclasses were made possible through a unique combination of two symphony outreach programs\, Symphony In Your Neighborhood and Symphony In Your College. \n\n \n\nThe arts council and the MAC music department are pleased to have been selected to host this group from the St. Louis Symphony through their community programs.\n\n \n\nFor more information\, please contact MACOA Executive Director Danielle Basler\, (573) 518-2125. Financial assistance the MACOA performing arts series is provided by the Missouri Arts Council\, a state agency.\n\n \n\n"We hope area residents will take advantage of the unique opportunity to hear this ensemble perform locally\," Basler said. "The arts council has a history of bringing classical performances to the Parkland and we're pleased to be once again presenting the work of the St. Louis Symphony to our community. In contrast to when we have hosted the full orchestra in the past\, it's exciting to be able to offer a much more intimate experience with these musicians with the added bonus of free admission."
