DESCRIPTION:In the 24th District\, there are currently over 350 children and teens in the Foster Care Program.  Due to circumstances beyond their control\, when many of these children are removed from their homes they are only allowed to take the clothes on their backs.\n\n\n\n"Project Backpack" helps these children transition into a new home by providing them with the "fresh start" items they need.\n\n\n\nBeginning Monday\, November 23rd and ending Friday\, December 18th for every item you donate\, the Park Hills Public Library will forgive $1.00 in overdue fines.\n\n\n\nPreferred Items Requested:  \n\n\n	Backpacks\n	Toothbrush\n	Toothpaste\n	Deodorant\n	Shampoo\n	Soap\n	Hair brush/comb\n	Undergarments/Socks\n	Gift Card to Payless or Wal-Mart for Shoes\n	Pajamas\n	Weather Appropriate Outfit\n	Feminine Products\n	Diapers\n	Wet Wipes\n	Bottles\n	Pacifiers\n	Teddy Bear/Stuffed Animals\n	Night Light\n	Age Appropriate Books\n	School Supplies for School Aged Children\n	Any item you find to be useful or soothing. \n\nYou may also donate a backpack filled with items for a specific gender or age\, we ask that you please label when donating. We ask that all personal care items\, undergarments\, and socks be new and unopened but\, clothing can be gently worn. \n\n\n\nAnyone can donate\, you don't have to owe fines!!\n\n\n\nPlease help to support this wonderful program and make a difference in the life of a child!
