DESCRIPTION:The Park Hills Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce concert #3 of it's 6-concert series slated for 2013.\n\n\n\nAn Independence Day spectacular will feature a local band that has been substantially growing in popularity over the past few years. "Shannon Cox & The Black Diamond Band"\, out of Fredericktown will take the stage 6-8:45 p.m. at the Park Hills Sports Complex.\n\n\n\nMusic will be followed by one of the best fireworks displays in the county. Black Diamond performs an eclectic mix of classic and new country favorites.\n\n\n\nBlack Diamond is a hard driving country group made up of four guys. They cover anything from new to traditional country \, classic rock \, bluegrass \, & a few original tunes! The band is based out of Fredericktown\, Missouri.\n\n\n\nThis band is made up of a wide age group from 17 to 45. They play with lots of heart & soul & love to mingle with the crowd off stage!\n\n\n\nWhile Black Diamond is working on a new cd to release on reverbnation\, they've added a couple songs by Shannon Cox from his early days. The song Weekend Dad is a song from the band "Canyon" written by Shannon Cox & John Wooldrige. The song "Makeup & Faded Bluejeans" is a song from the great country legend Merle Haggard. This song was recorded during the time Shannon played with Rte. 67.\n\n\n\nFind them on Facebook too!\n\n\n\n\n\nThe City of Park Hills would like to remind guests that all the concerts are FREE to the public. Guests should bring a lawn chair\, as no seating is available. No alcohol is allowed at the concerts. For more information\, contact the Park Hills Parks & Recreation Department.
