DESCRIPTION:The October investor Meeting is going to focus on Health Literacy in the Workplace.\n\n	\n\n	We have two guest speakers this month!  They will be Jacob Pollard\, Chairman of the Health Literacy Team & Chaplain of Parkland Health Center and Nickie Rotter\, Social Worker for Mineral Area Regional Medical Center\, Geriatric Behavioral Health.\n\n	\n\n	They will be discussing the following topics...\n\n	\n		\n			How can a health literacy program help your business\, save you money\, and keep your employees happy?\n	\n	\n		\n			How do I start a program if I don't have one?\n	\n	\n		\n			Some fun ideas for programs and activities any business can try\, no matter how large or small the business is.\n	\n\n\n	\n\n	About Our Presenters...\n\n	\n\n	Jacob Pollard\, has been the chaplain at Parkland Health Center for 8 years.  He graduated with his B.A. from Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge\, Arkansas\, and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth\, Texas.  He recently completed his M.A. in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola University in Chicago.  Jacob also chairs the Help for Your Health Committee\, which is charged to encourage employees to make their own health a priority.  Before moving to the Parkland\, he was the chaplain at Potosi Correctional Center and he also served in several churches in the Midwest.  He is married to his lovely wife Jamie\, who is a school counselor at Farmington High School.\n\n	\n\n	 \n\n	Nickie Rotter\, is a Social Worker for Mineral Area Regional Medical Center\, Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit.  She has been employed at MARMC since January 2010. Prior to this employment she worked for the St. Francois County Children's Division as a Children's Service Work II for six years. She holds a Masters degree in Social Work and a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice.  She has been involved in the Alzheimer's Association as a group facilitator and a team leader. She has been on the Women of Wellness Committee as well. She has also been involved in the Long Term Care meetings 2011\, 2012 and 2013.
