DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the August Investor Meeting on Tuesday\, August 21\, 2018\, at\, 12:00 p.m. We will be returning to the  Mineral Area College's NORTH COLLEGE CENTER this month!\n\n\n\nThis month's speaker will be Loel Hickman.\n\nMr. Hickman's presentation will be on the "Flat River Woman's Club." The Club began in 1907 and continued into the 1950s. The Club's activities ranged from tea parties to operating a health care service. The Club's initial focus was to seek social and civic improvements\, to clean up a grimy mining town and make it a place where they and their children could feel safe and comfortable. These women eventually demanded government and industry take a more active role in addressing social and environmental issues. We hope to plan to join us and learn a little bit about our town's heritage!\n\n\n\nOur August Business Spotlight is on The Printing Co.!\n\nLunch will be catered by MAC's American Vending Corp. and available for purchase at a cost of $10.00 per person for Chamber Investors or $15 per person for Non-Chamber Investors.\n\n\n\nOur August Menu is as follows: \n\nPasta Bar (Chicken\, Meatballs\, Marinara Sauce\, Alfredo Sauce\, Veggies\, etc.)\, Salad\, Rolls\, Dessert\, Tea & Water\n\n\n\nREMINDER! When registering online\, you will see a $15 charge\, with a $5 discount for Chamber Investors. Your cost\, as a chamber investor is still $10 per person.  If your discount is not reflected at checkout\, please contact the Chamber Office.\n\n\n\nRESERVATIONS REQUIRED BY 3:00 P.M.\, MONDAY\, AUGUST 20\, 2018.  RESERVATIONS MADE AFTER 3:00 P.M. WILL INCUR A $5 LATE FEE.\nMonthly investor meetings provide Chamber investors with a variety of information through guest speakers.  Topics range from small business information to governmental issues and assistance to community interests.  Monthly meetings keep investors abreast of current chamber happenings and provide an excellent networking opportunity.\n\n\n\nCANCELLATION POLICY:\n\nAll cancellations must be made by 3:00 p.m. the day before the meeting.  Cancellations made after 3:00 p.m. and/or 'no-show' guests will be invoiced and payment is expected.
