SUMMARY:Installation Banquet 2017
DESCRIPTION:The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with social hour\; dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. with entertainment by "The Royal Dumpe"!\n\n \nAt this year's Installation Banquet\, we will Step back into 16th century England with King Henry VIII and his bevy of wenches! It's a riotous night of bawdy\, naughty\, but never really vulgar\, merry making and song as you are transformed back to the days of yore!\n\n\n\nAbout The Royal Dumpe Dinner Theater\n\n\nThe Royal Dumpe Dinner Theater opened in 1973 on the historic Laclede's Landing in St. Louis\, Missouri. It has St. Louis's largest dinner theater cast\, and has run with the same script since it opened. \n\nThe show is a fun mix of songs\, audience participation\, jokes by the Fool and other cast members\, as well as some story telling. It has several variations to its show\, including a Christmas style show.\n\nIt is billed as the poor man's Medieval Times\, featuring a bevy of busty wenches\, all improvisational comediennes who will stay in character throughout the evening. The evening delivers non-stop corniness\, with tons of off-color humor and a visit from Henry VIII himself. \n\nIts current owner\, Jim Dannek\, plays the role of Itchy Rumpe (an Innkeeper) who keeps watch over the ruckus house\, until his Majesty\, King Henry VIII\, arrives. Along the way you meet a familiar cast of characters\, including his jester\, Master Patch Piece\, Rosie Rumpe\, and a slew of other cast members with equally bawdy names. \n\nOf its type\, no other "medieval style" dinner theater has been entertaining guests as long as The Royal Dumpe has. Learn more about The Royal Dumpe Here.\n\n\n\n\n\nAlso on the Evening's Agenda\n\n\n\nAs always\, we will install the 2017 Board of Directors and Officers at the banquet\, and there will again be a number of awards presented to various chamber investors and deserving individuals. Awards include the Chamber's "Friend" and "Lifetime Achievement Award".\nReserve your tickets now. The cost is $25.00 per person in advance and $30.00 per person at the door.\n\n\n\nFor more information\, or to reserve your tickets\, call the Chamber office at 573-431-1051.\nWe hope you'll plan to join us for a contagious evening of spontaneous fun!
