SUMMARY:Committee Meeting - "Battle of the Badges"
DESCRIPTION:Planning for the brand new event\, "Battle of the Badges"!\nThe Park Hills Leadington Chamber of Commerce is excited to bring a new event to the Parkland on September 9\, 2017\, called "Battle of the Badges".\n\n\n\nThe vision for this event is to invite law enforcement from around the State of Missouri to participate in a shooting competition involving handguns and rifles. We will also be extending the invitation to civilian teams to participate as well. It is our hope to have 24 law enforcement teams and 12 civilian teams competing that day.\n\n\n\nThis should be a good time for persons competing as well as the public that gathers to watch.\n\n\n\nWe also plan to incorporate a "9/11 Remembrance Ceremony" in our closing ceremonies.\n\n\n\nOur first goal for this event is to honor our police and first responders. The second includes a significant portion of the proceeds going to a new scholarship that will be given by the Chamber each year to a person attending either the Law Enforcement Academy at Mineral Area College or seeking a Criminal Justice degree from Mineral Area College.\nHope to see you there!!
