DESCRIPTION:The Park Hills - Leadington Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the First State Community Bank Christmas Parade\, set to take place on Saturday\, December 13\, 2025.\n\n\n\nDate and Time: Saturday\, December 13\, 2025\n\n\n 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Photos with Santa at No. 9 Coffee Co.\n 4:00 p.m. - Musical Presentation by the Rebel Clef Honor Choir from West Elementary (Grades 4-5) at Leadington Plaza (Near No. 9 Coffee)\n 4:30 p.m. - Leadington Tree Lighting\n 5:00 p.m. - Musical Presentation by the Central Elementary Honors Choir (Grades K-2) at the Downtown Stage in Park Hills\n 6:00 p.m. - Parade line-up (All entries must be in place)\n 6:30 p.m. - Parade begins\n 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Photos with Santa resume on the Patio at Four Towns Brewing Company\n\n\nTheme: "Christmas Movies"\n\nThis year\, we're bringing the magic of the big screen to Main Street! Floats should be decorated to celebrate beloved holiday films from timeless classics like It's a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story to modern favorites like Elf\, The Polar Express\, or The Grinch.\n\nParticipants are encouraged to:\n\n\n Recreate iconic scenes or characters from their chosen movie.\n Use props\, lights\, costumes\, and music or soundtracks to bring the story to life.\n Incorporate holiday colors\, festive decorations\, and creative details that make your float instantly recognizable as your chosen Christmas film.\n Add people in costume or themed attire to make your float interactive and full of cheer!\n\n\nRoute\n\n\n\nThe parade will follow the traditional Homecoming Parade Route\, starting at St. Francois Avenue\, proceeding to West Main Street\, then to Rinke Street\, and concluding at the High School via Stone Street. Participants will line up along Westwind and Davis Court.\n\n\n\nSpecial Attractions\n\n\n\nSanta Claus will be available for photos and visits with children before and after the parade. Before he is at Leadington Plaza\, and after\, you'll find him on the patio next to Four Towns Brewing Co.\n\n\n\nParticipation and Prizes\n\n\n\nThere is no entry fee to participate in the parade. Float prizes include:\n\n\n First Place: $200 cash\, a collectible snow globe (valued at $150).\n Second Place: $150 cash\n Third Place: $100 cash\n\n\nWinners will be announced to the media immediately following the parade\, with prizes awarded on Monday\, December 15\, 2025.\nOFFICIAL PARADE RULES & GUIDELINES\n\n\n There is NO ENTRY FEE required for participation. The deadline for entry is Tuesday\, December 9\, 2025.\n All participants must be in line no later than 6:00 p.m. at their designated location. \n Parade officials will designate Santa and Mrs. Claus. NO OTHER LIVING SANTA OR MRS. CLAUS IS PERMITTED.\n This will be an evening parade\; therefore\, entrants are encouraged (but not required) to create lighted entries.\n Absolutely NO LOUD VEHICLES will be permitted. Those arriving for lineup in excessively loud vehicles may be ineligible to participate.\n Emergency vehicles may use lights but NO SIRENS.\n All entries using a generator as a power source are required to carry a fire extinguisher.\n Music is encouraged along the parade route. Please keep the volume at a reasonable level. Bands are an exception.\n Animals participating in the parade must be controlled by their handlers at all times\, and handlers must come prepared to clean up after their animals. For those placed within the middle of the parade line-up\, a cleanup person must follow behind the animals\, and all waste must be removed from the streets immediately so that others do not have to walk in or around it.\n Changes in the parade line-up the day of the parade will be at the sole discretion of the parade officials.\n For judging purposes\, please be sure your business/organization name is displayed clearly on the DRIVER'S SIDE of your entry.
