Fall is coming to Park Hills & Leadington, and it’s time to get creative!

The Park Hills - Leadington Chamber of Commerce invites local businesses, organizations, groups, and community members to participate in our 8th Annual Scarecrow Contest, happening October 15–31, 2026!

Put your creativity to work and design a scarecrow that’s traditional, imaginative, funny, unique, or represents your business or organization. Scarecrows will be displayed throughout our community during the contest period, adding a little extra fall fun for everyone to enjoy!

This is a family-friendly community competition, so gather your team, family, coworkers, students, or organization and start planning your creation. Scarecrows will have the opportunity to be recognized in four categories:
- People’s Choice
- Most Traditional
- Most Creative
- Best Portrayal of a Business or Organization

Time

Scarecrows will be displayed on their assigned poles along Main Street from October 15th through October 31st. Participants are responsible for the care and maintenance of their scarecrow throughout the duration of the contest to ensure it remains secure and presentable. All scarecrows must be removed from Main Street no later than November 2nd.

Registration is simple! Please reference the map provided above to select the pole(s) you would like to reserve along Main Street. Pole locations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Scarecrows may be placed on their assigned poles beginning October 15th and will remain on display through October 31st. Participants are responsible for the care and maintenance of their scarecrow throughout the contest, and all scarecrows must be removed no later than November 2nd.
